Hi, I’m Somya
I build AI tools and infrastructure that help wearables and robotics research teams move faster at Reality Labs Research (Meta).
At Meta, I started on the Prototypes Software Team within the wearables org where I worked on a myriad of things from prototyping off-the-shelf sensors to enable gesture decoding, to creating user studies for sensor data collection. I now build the data ingestion service for our internal High Performance Cluster used to train AI models for the wearables org. Before Meta, I studied Computer Science at Princeton.
Outside of work, I am an adventurer at heart. You can find me training for my next 'misogi', biking in Marin, or running around the city stopping at different bakeries/cafes. I'm currently learning how to swim (very difficult as an adult)! Excited to finally start being comfortable in the deep end of the pool.
